At 21:21 the Engine, Tanker, and Foam were dispatched to a car fire in a yard off Bethel Church near the Solomon Trmple Road intersection in the first due. Chief 39 arrived to report a fully involved car fire. Other companies assisting included 110 and 113 who sent their Engine to standby at 39 house until we returned from the Ridge.

At 09:00 station 39 was activated to assist Station 71 which was responding to a vehicle in the water off Route 217 near Torrance Road. Initially 39, along with Station 41, were placed on standby in station. Eventually Ranger 39 (UTV) was requested to the scene to assist. Ranger 39 crews supported operations until it was determined the occupant was safe and the car was recovered from the Conemaugh River.
At 03:56 the Engine and Tanker were activated to assist Station 71 with a residential structure fire on Pizza Barn Road. First arriving firefighters reported a fully involved structure fire through the roof. 39 crews were assigned to RIT and later assisted with overhaul. Other units assisting included 132, 41, 77, 138, 114T, 42T, and 145T. Thanks to Station 36 for standing by in their station while YVFD operated at this fire.
At 17:59 the Engine, Rescue-Engine, Foam truck, and Service were dispatched to a commercial structure fire on Route 30 at Giffin Drive. Lieutenant 39 arrived to report flames coming from the roof of the Burger King Restaurant. Upon arrival of the Engine a split crew was sent to the roof and the kitchen. t 22:10 the Engine and Tanker were dispatched to assist Station 71 with a chimney fire on Derbytown Road. Assistant 71 arrived to report a wall and chimney fire. Hands from 39 were assigned to the interior and roof for suppression and overhaul. Crews operated on scene for 90 minutes before being returned to quarters. Other units assisting were 114, 34, 41, and 113.
At 15:59 the Rescue and Service were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Route 982 between Macey and Diamond Lanes. Lieutenant 39 arrived to report one car into the guide rail, no entrapment, the occupant denying injury, and one lane blocked. Firefighters secured the scene and maintained traffic control until the wreckage could be removed. Rescue 73 assisted with traffic control.
At 15:17 the Rescue and Service were dispatched to assist 114 with a motor vehicle accident on Beatty County Road near Brouwers Road. Captain 114 arrived to report one car off the road into a tree with entrapment. The Rescue crew was assigned to stabilization and extrication with hydraulic rescue tools. The Service was assigned traffic control. Also assisting were 33, 113, and Mutual Aid ambulance.
At 16:36 the Rescue and Service were dispatched to a multi car accident on Route 982 South of Church Street in the first due. Lt. 39 arrived to report 2 cars involved, no entrapment, one injury, with the roadway blocked. One person was treated on scene by Mutual Aid Ambulance. Also assisting was Rescue 73.
At 19:51 the Rescue was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on American Legion Road near Shawley Lane. Chief 39 arrived to report a single car into a pole, the pole sheared, no one in or around the car, and Pennsylvania State Police on Scene. Earlier at 16:01 the Rescue was sent to assist station 33 with a single vehicle accident on Route 30 Eastbound west of Saint Xavier Road with a car into a sign.
t 08:05 the Rescue and Service were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment on High School Road. On arrival it was determined it was a medical emergency. At 08:18 the Rescue was sent to a crash on Route 30 Eastbound at Saint Vincent Drive. While assisting at this incident, at 08:41 the Rescue was requested at an MVA at Route 30 Eastbound and Saint Xavier Road. Captain 114 arrived to report a truck into a tree, no entrapment, one patient being evaluated by Mutual Aid Ambulance. Rescue 39 was assigned traffic control. At 21:44 the Tanker-Pumper and Engine were sent to assist Station 33 with a commercial garage fire on Smiths Hill Road. Chief 33 arrived to confirm a working structure fire. Tanker-Pumper 39 was first to arrive and Command requested the apparatus function as the attack engine and a 2.5” and two 1.75” lines were stretched and put into operation. At 16:55 the Engine and Tanker were dispatched to assist station 71 with a Mobile Home Fire on Lisa Lane in Derry Township. Captain 71 arrived to report a porch fire with possible extension into the structure. Following a quick knock down fire fighters checked for extension and overhauled the area. Also assisting were stations 41, 114, 113, and station 34 for RIT. While Engine and Tanker crews were at this alarm a separate crew handled an AED ambulance assist with the Service Truck.
At 15:10 Rescue and Service 39, Rescue 73, and Rescue 36 were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision with roll over on Gravel Hill Road near Goodman Lane. Captain 39 arrived to report no entrapment, one car into a pole and on its side, the pole broken and leaning over the roadway, minor injury, and both lanes blocked. Mutual Aid Ambulance treated the operator on scene.
