Volunteers from the Youngstown Whitney Volunteer Fire Department took the Unity Township Fire Bureau Fire Prevention Program to the Great Expectations Pre School. Participants learned about smoke and C-O detectors, a home fire evacuation plan, firefighter protective equipment, and tools.

At 21:29 the Rescue was dispatched to a vehicle accident on Bell Memorial Church Road near Green Street in the first due. Chief 36 arrived to report one car into a pole, the driver self extricated, and the vehicle off the roadway.

At 07:05 the station was activated for a vehicle accident with a pick up truck overturned on its side with possible entrapment on Route 30 Westbound at Misty Hollow Lane. Chief 39 arrived to confirm one vehicle on its side with the operator entrapped.

At 03:11 the station was activated for a chimney fire on SMOLLECK Street in the first due. Assistant 39 arrived to report the house filled with smoke and further investigation needed to determine if the fire had made it into the wall.

At 14:49 the Rescue was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Route 30 Eastbound just East of Sleepy Hollow Causeway. Chief 39 arrived to report one pickup truck on its side, the occupant self extricated and denying injury, one lane blocked, and fluids leaking on the roadway.
